Gallery-Grade Amethyst Pseudomorph After Calcite on Matrix Agate, And Golden Goethite Inclusions
A rare Amethyst specimen, featuring minerals that usually don't appear together. This is a world-class Amethyst with sculptural aesthetics, perfect for your crystal cabinet and certainly deserving of a top spot in any collection. It’s also a luxurious geological marvel, bringing millions of years of history to your space.
It is a miracle that a specimen like this came out intact, with no damage to the Amethyst Quartz, and it’s even shinier seeing it in person.
It all began with an agate matrix (chalcedony) acting like a time capsule, preserving mineral inclusions within its structure that crafted a beautiful marine seascape. This phenomenon, where agate forms atop minerals, is still not fully understood.
Atop the agate, we find the formation of a unique flower—a rare phenomenon, likely one-of-a-kind—where amethyst pseudomorphed over the agate and calcite. To top it all, golden goethite grows interlacing with the quartz, giving golden sparkles to it and bringing natural agate patterns.
It is 100% natural, exactly as it was found in the mines, and comes with the peace of mind of being ethically sourced in my hometown, Ametista do Sul. Please check the pictures to see more of it and feel free to message us if you have any questions or particular requests.
