A beautifully formed Amethyst Geode bringing all the characteristics of a Super Extra Amethyst (AA Grade) with many points having Golden Goethite (AKA Cacoxenite), this is an exceptional specimen and comes with the piece of mind of being Ethically sourced in (my hometown) Ametista do Sul, Brazil.
The Druzy color of this Amethyst Cathedral is a deep purple tone, and the points grew in an unusual formation, where some of them are laid on top of the other ones, making this a one-of-a-kind geode.
The Geode formation of this Amethyst Cave is another highlight, with a little bit more than 16 inches tall and weighing 48lbs, it is the perfect medium size geode. The matrix of the geode is composed by a thin layer of Basalt which was then covered by the Agate Matrix, and it had the need to be reinforced in order not to break.
The Goethite inclusions are iron oxidized which grows like needles right before the Amethyst Quartz surrounded it, in the case of this specimen, the Goethite inclusions kept the natural golden color, being very sparkly under the right light.
All these qualities in one specimen is just mind blown, definitely a AA (or AKA Super Extra) specimen which I have no doubts that it will look magnificent on your collection or decor.
