Small Blue and Baby Blue Lace Agate Geode with Amethyst Druzy
A beautiful small agate geode brings the natural blue agate laces (also known as blue banded agate), and this geode is considered exceptionally unique due to the quality of the agate specimen, its formation, and its aesthetical agate laces.
Nature amazingly formed the agate layers, where you can observe the growth pattern it experienced during millions of years of evolution. The layers of this geode start with a sea blue color and develop through lighter and deeper tones of blue layers until its center, where we can find the druzy, crowning the geode with a deep color of purple.
Outstanding from every angle, this dark blue lace agate geode is sure to be an amazing addition to your crystal collection. Check out the photos to see more details and feel free to send us a message if you have any questions or specific requests. 🤍
You may be wondering how the blue lace layers were formed. It's just amazing: agates typically form inside bubbles or cavities in igneous (volcanic) basalt and, over time, get filled with layers of water with high concentrations of silica. The water slowly evaporates, forming a layer of silica gel, and then a layer is formed. It is a very slow process, and each layer contains different impurities, thus forming different colored bands. Fantastic, right?
