Small White and Blue Banded Agate Geode with Rare XL Botryoidal Agate (Stalactite) Formation
A beautiful small Agate Geode that showcases white and blue Banded agate and a rare XL Botryoidal Agate (Stalactite) Formation. A small but gorgeous amethyst with agate geode to add to your office, decor, or crystal collection.
Nature amazingly formed the agate layers, where you can see the growth pattern it had during millions of years of evolution. The first layers seen in this geode are of deep blue color, and slowly the layers started to intercalate with lighter agate bands, till the center of the geode, with only white agate layers.
The main highlight of this geode is its rare XL Botryoidal Agate (Stalactite) Formation, the white agate was covered by sugar druzy transparent Amethyst, giving this geode a unique glow effect.
An outstanding Agate geode, Check out the photos and feel free to send us a message if you have any questions or specific requests. 🤍
You may be wondering, how were the blue lace layers formed?
It's just amazing: agates normally form inside bubbles or cavities of igneous (volcanic) basalt and, over time, are filled with layers of water with high concentrations of silica. The water is slowly evaporated, forming a layer of silica gelatin and then a layer is formed. It is a very slow process and each layer contained different impurities, thus forming different colored bands. Fantastic, right?
