Another one-of-a-kind nature's masterpiece we bring to you, this Amethyst Cathedral Geode brings as many rare characteristics as it gets. The first and more prominent is the fantastic Golden Goethite (Cacoxenite) inclusions we can see all over the geode, all the points are filled with the Golden Goethite (Cacoxenite) needles from the bottom portion of the Geode till its top. Unfortunately the video or the pictures can't really capture all the beauty of it but in real life it is just astonishing. Formed similarly as Rutile Needles, the Golden Goethite are composed of iron which was present right before the quartz took form and now will be forever included in the Amethyst points.
Another highlight of this Amethyst Geode is the Calcite formations, the calcite formed on the upper part of the Geode, which is unusual and it formed Geometrically as cubes. The Calcite itself brings micro quartz growth on top and it sparkles as the Amethyst points.
This specimen also brings many Amethyst Flowers (AKA Amethyst Rosettes), these formations are present mainly on the bottom of the Geode but they are all over it, as we can see on its back and on the top of it.
Last but not least, I'd like to highlight the multi colored lace agate involving the geode the color is mind-blowing and we can see a thin layer of banded agate and at the bottom we have a wonderful Moss agate formation From red to blue, to green, and white, it feels like an explosion of colors happening on the agate matrix.
Size-wise it stands a little bit more than 11 in. tall, 12 in. wide, and weighs 24 lb. being the perfect size geode. The matrix of the geode is composed by a thin layer of Basalt which was then covered by the Agate Matrix, and it had the need to be reinforced.
This exceptional Amethyst Geodes brings the peace of mind of being Ethically sourced in our hometown Ametista do Sul, RS, Brazil.
Definitely a Rare Amethyst specimen which I have no doubt will look magnificent in your collection or decor. Please check the pictures to see more of it and feel free to message us in case you have any questions or particular request. 🤍
