This Amethyst Geode on a Banded Agate matrix a rare color formation, which starts as a deep purple tone on the bottom and turns into the beautiful dark color where the points are filled with Goethite inclusions. Turning this specimen on a collector and rare piece of Amethyst which will look magnificent in your collection or decor
The multi-colored lace agate matrix which involves the Amethyst Geode, it brings blues, whites and greys is another fantastic characteristic of this specimen, where we can see the evolution of the agate, layer by layer. The points are small in size and very shiny, creating a landscape as if it was a mountain with clouds or rivers of Amethyst.
It is the perfect medium to small sized geode, with a little bit more than 10 in. tall and weighing 17 lbs. The matrix of the geode is composed by a thin layer of Basalt which was then covered by the Agate Matrix.
