One-of-a-kind is a good definition for this Pair of Amethyst Geodes on a Banded Agate matrix. This pair brings us super rare horizontal flower formations (Amethyst Stalactite), a deep and rare to come by color pattern and formations of Amethyst, and points filled with Golden Goethite (AKA Cacoxenite) in it.
One of the most beautiful characteristics is the many different forms of amethyst points seen on the geode. As we look from it we can clearly see the different layers of colors and growth of the Amethyst Points. On the bottom we have the gorgeous deep toned purple Amethyst and as it goes up, the points get smaller and shinier creating a landscape as if it was a mountain with clouds or rivers of Amethyst.
Last but not least, the multi-colored lace agate matrix which involves the Amethyst Geodes, it brings blues, whites and greys. The matrix is composed by a thin layer of Basalt which was then covered by the Agate Matrix, and it had the need to be reinforced in order to become a safer specimen.
It is the perfect medium to small sized pair of geodes, with a little bit more than 14 in. tall and weighing combined 74lb.
These Amethyst specimens come straight from the source (my hometown) Ametista do Sul, Brazil, and brings the peace of mind of being Ethically sourced.
