Magnificent, this Amethyst Geode brings us a a beautiful banded agate Matrix with small and deep purple Amethyst points and the gorgeous Calcite Flower which is covered by Golden Goethite, fabulous.
The highlights of this geodes are the banded agate (as already mentioned before) and the number of inclusions it brings, it has Goethite (cacoxenite), it also has calcite and some other mineral growth in it. Spectacular. It has a distinct formation with the bands differing in color, a multi-colored lace agate matrix which involves the Amethyst Geode, bringing green, white, gray and lavender tones to this specimen.
It is the perfect medium to small sized geode, with a little bit more than 11 in. tall and weighing 20 lbs. The matrix of the geode is composed by a thin layer of Basalt which was then covered by the Agate Matrix, and it had the need to be reinforced in order not to break.
This exceptional Amethyst specimen comes straight from the source (my hometown) Ametista do Sul, Brazil, and brings the peace of mind of being Ethically sourced.
