Quartz pseudomorph after anhydrite is typically found on basalt and celadonite matrix. However, in this case, nature excelled by allowing the white pseudomorph quartz to form on a cream calcite matrix. Even more impressive is the way in which the pseudomorph quartz developed, producing many floral clusters that could each stand alone as a collector’s piece. The geode had a window opened in such a way that the flowers remain intact and yet bring all the beauty to the outside world.

The colors of the minerals complement each other, with the white pseudomorph quartz over anhydrite and the cream calcite background creating a natural seascape-like composition.
