One-of-a-kind is a good definition for this Amethyst Geode on a Banded Agate matrix. This Amethyst Geode brings us a super rare horizontal lace formation created by the agate pattern on the background where Galaxy Amethyst filled with Golden Goethite (AKA Cacoxenite) grew on top of it. An exceptional specimen that I have no doubt will look magnificent in your collection or decor space.
One of the most beautiful characteristics of this crystal is the many different forms of amethyst points seen on the geode. Different layers of colors and the growth of the Amethyst Points can be seen from top to bottom. The layers start with a deep, almost black color that gives space to blue, pink and purple layers. This effect creates a landscape as if it was a mountain with clouds or rivers of Amethyst.
Last but not least, the multi-colored lace agate matrix which involves the Amethyst Geode, it brings blues, whites, and greys. Even more special is the white agate that forms a gradient on the top of the geode, just fantastic. . It is the perfect medium to small-sized geode, with a little bit more than 12.5 in. tall and weighing 20 lbs. The matrix of the geode is composed by a thin layer of Basalt which was then covered by the Agate Matrix, and it had the need to be reinforced in order to become a safer specimen.
This exceptional Amethyst specimen comes straight from the source (my hometown) Ametista do Sul, Brazil, and brings the peace of mind of being Ethically sourced. Please check the pictures to see more of it and feel free to message us in case you have any questions or particular requests. 🤍
