This is "The Little Hat," a rare variety of Amethyst Plate that has formed atop Pseudomorph Quartz, creating an extraordinary, floating hat-like shape. We were fortunate to be at our friend's house at just the right moment when it had just arrived from the mine where it was discovered. A special, one-of-a-kind Amethyst specimen that will be the center specimen in our Crystal Collection, or the MVP in your home decor.

In general, Amethyst Flower Plates are a rare find, found exclusively in a single mountain range in Iraí, Brazil. The rarity of a Large Plate such as this cannot be overstated, especially one that remains embedded in its natural matrix. As such, it becomes a specimen worthy of museum or gallery display.

The contrast between the two layers contributes to the specimen's stunning aesthetics. The clarity and geometric shape of the Amethyst Quartz Plate, seamlessly attached to the matrix by Pseudomorph Quartz, give the impression that it is floating on a bed of dense, fluffy pink fur.
