You might be curious about how the white lace layers were formed. It's quite fascinating: agates typically develop within the bubbles or cavities of igneous (volcanic) basalt. Over time, these are filled with layers of water rich in silica. As the water gradually evaporates, it leaves behind a layer of silica gel, which eventually hardens. This is an exceedingly slow process, and since each layer contains different impurities, a variety of colored bands are formed. Isn't that fantastic?
