As we say in Brazil: Out of the Serie ("Fora de Série"), which means something that was not produced on a large scale and can't be replicated, this is the perfect MOTTO for this Citrine Cathedral, a nature's masterpiece and a once in a lifetime find. Ethically found Geode at its source (my hometown) Ametista do Sul, Brazil.
The Druzy color of this Citrine Cathedral is just phenomenal, the dark toned of Orange (AKA Cognac Citrine) is the highest grade and the most sought after color of any Citrine and it shines as if it is a dark Amber or an ember in the fire. The Citrine druzy points are all intact, and many of the points bring internal Goethite inclusions, making it even shinier as if it was a normal Citrine. And the druzy forms in different formations, some formations are Citrine Flowers, other ones look similar to a river made of Citrine, just spectacular.
The Geode formation of this Citrine Cave is another highlight. With more than 20 inches tall and weighting 107 lbs (49Kg), it brings a tall and beautiful Cathedral format. The matrix of the geode is composed by a thin layer of Basalt which was then covered by a layer of Goethite, and it had the need to be reinforced in order not to break.
All these qualities in one specimen is just mind blowing, definitely a AAA (or AKA Super Extra) specimen which I have no doubts that this Citrine Geode will look magnificent on your collection, home or office decor.
