Collection Grade Amethyst with Cubic Geometrical Calcite & Deep Purple Druzy
When people think of calcite, they often picture pointed formations, like dogtooth, rhombohedral, or scalenohedral shapes. However, this spectacular specimen is awe-inspiring at first glance, featuring the rarely seen phenomenon known as a “Truly Cubic Calcite.” It’s a large, near-perfect cube in pristine condition—visually stunning and truly rare. Whether it’s for your cabinet, gallery, or the finishing touch in your décor, this piece is sure to turn heads, even among the most discerning crystal collectors.
This specimen is all about its calcite, which grows in the perfect aesthetic spot, boldly contrasting against the deep purple amethyst druzy. It is all intact, with many etched "record keepers" which has no single, definitive scientific explanation on how they formed, as well as a crystal inclusion in one of the sides of the cube.
It formed on Amethyst, which brings an intense purple tone, pairing beautifully with the calcite.
No question that this is a fantastic specimen, and comes with the peace of mind that it was ethically sourced from my hometown, Ametista do Sul, Brazil. Please check the photos for more details, and feel free to message us if you have any questions or specific requests.
