Super Rare Amethyst with Micro Formations of Stalactites (Known in Brazil as Chuveirinho Amethyst) and Calcite covered by Chalcedony.
▫️ Description
Exceptionally rare because of the Micro Stalactite covered by micro druzy (AKA Sugar Druzy) and the delicate thin growth of them. The odds to find a geode like this are very low, even experienced miners can mine their whole life without seeing an intact geode like this one. It truly deserves a top spot at any world class crystal collection.
As you can see on the pictures and video, we can imagine the stalactites growing from top to bottom, dip by dip on some millions of years of continuous evolution, creating the rainfall or icicle shape. These stalactites were later covered by the micro-druzy (AKA Sugar coat Druzy), giving this specimen the shiny characteristic it deserves.
At the center we have (probably) a large calcite, which had it's form taken by the dripping process, resulting in this spectacular form. Another highlight are the small intact calcite growing on its bottom.
I could literally spend hours talking about this phenomenal amethyst and how incredible is to be able to see it and its intrinsic details.
